 CULTURE BEAT "Mr. Vain" (1993)

It's hard to imagine a wayback 90s party or Euro club that doesn't play "Mr. Vain" by Culture Beat. This Eurodance song has got to be the unofficial Eurodance party anthem. The song is typical of the early Eurodance that came out of Europe in the early 1990s, 1993 to be exact. It was so huge when it came out  that it reached number-one in Australia, Austria, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

"Mr. Vain" was so huge in Canada that it spent ten weeks at number one on the RPM Dance chart. The song was the lead single from Culture Beat's album Serenity. Years later, this song is still played frequently and fills the floors in the dance clubs quickly. It seems to a be a party favourite among Eurodance enthusiasts worldwide.

Culture Beat is a German Eurodance group that was formed in 1989 by Torsten Fenlau. The group is still active today! The group has gone through many changes in their line-up over the years.
